Policies & Protocols

Scheduling Policy

There is a 5 minute grace period to be late to your session/class. There is a $10 late fee that will be assessed after the grace period, up until 15 minutes after session/class was scheduled to begin. After 15 minutes, you may be required to reschedule your booking depending on my availability. There is a mandatory $20 rescheduling fee unless a 2 days notice was provided. All classes, sessions, and courses are non-refundable.

Safety Rules & Regulations

  1. ODT is not obligated to permit Participant to participate in the Activities. ODT may, in its sole discretion and at any time, refuse or withdraw permission for Participant to participate in the Activities for any reason or for no reason without providing any refund. Anyone displaying unsafe actions on the range will be asked to correct their behavior. Continual safety violations will result in the Participants removal from the range.
  2. Participant is required to obey all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as all instructions from ODT personnel, while on the Premises and/or participating in the Activities.
  3. Firearm safety is every shooter’s first and foremost responsibility!  A.) ALWAYS treat all firearms as if they are loaded, B.) ALWAYS keep your firearm pointed down range, C.) ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire. D.) Always identify your target and what is behind the target.
  4. CEASE FIRE: On this command, unload your firearm and lay it down with the magazine out and the action open. Then step back from the firing line and wait for any instructions from the Range Safety Officer. Instructions from the Range Safety Officer or other staff members must be obeyed immediately and without question.
  5. Food, drinks and tobacco use (including e-cigarettes) are prohibited.
  6. Participant must wear eye and ear protection, appropriate attire, and footwear at all times while participating in the Activities. (Always wash face and hands with cold water after using a firearm.)
  7. Persons who are under the influence or suspected of being under the influence of any alcohol, narcotic drug, or controlled substance are not permitted to participate in the Activities.
  8. Federal law states you must be 21 to purchase, sell, rent or loan a handgun or ammunition. If you are between the ages of 18-20, you must furnish your own handgun and ammunition. Young shooters (ages 3-17 years of age) are ONLY allowed to participate in the Activities with their parent or legal guardian present.
  9. Pregnant women, or people subject to seizures, are not allowed on the range.
  10. All firearms must be in good working condition and in a case or range bag until the Participant(s) are in their assigned shooting stall. Once in the assigned stall, all firearms must be unloaded from the bag or case on the bench or other designated unloading area (not the floor) and pointed down range at all times. Any firearm that is not currently being used must have the magazine out and the slide locked back. Only unloaded firearms should be laid down on the bench or unloading area, and no firearms should be handed to another person (lay it down and switch stalls instead). Once you are done shooting, all firearms should be loaded back into your bag or case on the bench or unloading area while still being pointed down range.
  11. All firearms and ammunition may be inspected by ODT personnel any time upon request. Any firearm or ammunition that is found to be unsafe or unserviceable will not be allowed.
  12. Allowable calibers are: any pistol calibers from .22 to .45; any rifle calibers from .22 to .300 WinMag; and any shotgun caliber that chambers slugs.
  13. Use only correctly sized and commercially manufactured ammunition. Steel-core, bi-metal, armor-piercing, tracer, incendiary, bird shot, buck shot, and black powder ammunition is not permitted. Muzzle loading firearms are not allowed.
  14. Participant is permitted to collect their own brass that is on or behind the firing line, but may not collect brass that falls in front of the firing line or brass from other shooters. If you must retrieve something that has fallen forward of the firing line, please seek a Range Safety Officer or any other ODT personnel for assistance.
  15. All firearms must have sights installed.
  16. Unauthorized targets are not permitted. Use the appropriate size target, placed at eye level, to ensure that your shots strike the backstop and not the target holder. Shooting at anything other than your own target is prohibited. Cross-firing at targets is prohibited. All firing must be aimed fire.
  17. Never try to catch a dropped and/or falling firearm.
  18. If a misfire or other malfunction occurs, keep the firearm pointed downrange and signal ODT personnel. Do not leave the firing line with a loaded or jammed firearm.
  19. Immediately report any unsafe condition or conduct to ODT personnel.
  20. Recklessly engaging in conduct that places others in imminent danger, like discharging a firearm in the direction of an individual, habitation, building, or vehicle can lead to a Class A misdemeanor or a third degree felony charge.
  21. Failure to comply with these Rules, or the creation by Participant of any hazardous or unsafe condition, will result in immediate removal from the Premises without the issuance of a refund.
